Gasless Voting for ENS and Uniswap

Agora is proud to announce a major step forward in governance accessibility: gasless voting for Uniswap and ENS. Starting today, delegates can actively participate in governance decisions without paying for gas, thanks to Agora’s gas relay infrastructure.

As Ethereum mainnet gas prices fluctuate, this feature ensures that governance remains inclusive, empowering delegates and token holders to cast their votes without barriers.

One of the biggest hurdles in governance is accessibility. High gas prices disproportionately affect smaller token holders and delegates, often discouraging them from participating in governance. This leads to decreased voter turnout and governance centralization, where only bigger delegates feel like participanting and can afford to engage meaningfully.

Agora’s gas relay solves this problem by allowing delegates to vote and delegate their tokens without paying transaction fees. All you need to do is a sign a transaction and Agora's servers will forward that and allow for Delegaton and Vote casting by signature. The transaction still comes from your address, but the relayer pays the bill.

We are also happy to announce that the ENS DAO and Uniswap Foundation have agreed to sponsor the gas relay indefinitely to ensure this feature remains funded and accessible to all delegates.

Can't wait for you to try it and hear what you think about it.
